As children we were taught to Stop, Look and Listen before we crossed a dangerous road. But, I have come to realise that, in order to travel a straight road in life it is equally important to Stop, Look and Listen. The signs are everywhere. Be very sure, there are no coincidences in life. Everyone that crosses your path from childhood is either there to teach you something or you are teaching them something. (If your eyes are open to it)
Review your day. Where did you see God’s presence? Or where did you overlook it?
Open your eyes and be alert to everything around you. Whatever your goal is in life, God is lining up the very people you need to help you fulfil it. Whoever you wish to settle down with in life, will not be far away from you if your eyes are open. Whatever job you wish to do, the opportunity is closer than you think. Often it is only in later years that we realise this and are able to look back and see how the pieces of the puzzle were put together, by a bigger hand than ours. Be alert now and the younger the better. There are no coincidences in this perfectly planned world and that includes you.
“The plans I have for you…. are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me…. I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes” Jeremiah 29:11-13
So try to keep your eyes peeled, even finding this website and reading this blog was meant to teach you something. (If only how to tell a good joke lol) There are NO coincidences.
It reminds me of the story of a man looking for a parking place. He is the best-man at his friend’s wedding and he is late. So he is frantically driving around the car park looking for a space. Not a religious sort, he nonetheless prays “Oh God please help me!, I’ll go to church every Sunday, I’ll pray every night and I’ll be kinder to everyone I meet”. Just then a space becomes available! Then the man said “Never mind God, I found one” – Don’t overlook or ignore what happens every day – often you’ll find God’s fingerprints all over it!
